So I just saw the new trailer of Catwoman’s gameplay in Injustice. It looks good.

Let’s get the positives out first. I really like her outfit. I like that it’s all zipped up and not at all revealing. Granted, if there were one character I would not have minded looking slutty in this game, it would be Catwoman, because as I’ve stated before, she is by nature a very sexual character. But the fact that they are not going that route with her is a nice change of pace.

In general, I like that the game has quite a few female fighters. Right now, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, and Catwoman are the only ones confirmed, but I feel like Black Canary has a decent shot of being in the game, and God knows how much I want Power Girl in it.

Really, this only raises one complaint: There are too many Batman characters. The current roster of the game is Batman, Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Nightwing, and Cyborg. I’m also reasonable certain that I’ve seen Lex Luthor in the original teaser, and since Joker has a 3D model on the Bat-Computer, I’m guessing that model is actually being used for a playable character in the game. So if I’m right about Lex and Joker, that means that five out of the eleven known characters, nearly half of the roster, are Batman characters. If you count Grundy, who’s really more of a Green Lantern and JSA villain but is often associated with Batman, that makes it six out of eleven, which is more than half. This is obviously due to Batman’s popularity, and actually pretty reflective of the number of Bat Books in the New 52, but I’d still like to see some more characters in it.

So, here’s a list of just some of the people I want in it.

Heroes:

-Aquaman

-Power Girl

-Zatanna (Probably not happening, but it’d be cool if it did)

-Shazam

-Green Lantern (Honestly, while I’d be fine with any Lantern, I’d really like it if they used Guy this time around. He and Kyle are the only two not playable in any video game I know of.)

-Phantom Stranger (Again, totally not happening, but a man can dream)

Villains:

-Black Adam

-Cheetah

-Sinestro

-Metallo (Easily my favorite Superman villain who isn’t Lex)

-Vandal Savage
